Water leaks can be extremely wasteful and pricey. Because leaks can pose such a threat to your home and your wallet, we recommend inspecting your plumbing once a month.
There are a few things you can do on a monthly basis for water leak detection. These include:
- Monitoring your water bill to check for abnormal charges and higher-than-normal water usage.
- Checking toilets for low water pressure and leaks. You can do this with a simple bottle of food coloring and just a few minutes of time.
- Inspecting pipes for puddles, wall discoloration, and dripping or hissing sounds.
- Looking at all of the faucets and shower heads to insure there are no drips or puddles.
