Protect Your Building’s Repipe Investment
Your Repipe Was the Cure. Maintenance Is What Keeps the Building Healthy
A repipe solves the problem you had. A maintenance program prevents the ones you haven’t met yet. Water damage is the #1 source of condominium insurance claims — and nearly all of it is preventable with routine drain and valve maintenance.
535 Plumbing partners with associations across Oahu to maintain their building’s plumbing after a repipe, with a documented program your Board, your insurance carrier, and your reserve study can all point to.
What’s Included Every Year
Kitchen & Laundry Stack Hydro-Jetting — With Camera Verification
Grease, detergent, and lint build fastest in these shared stacks. High-pressure jetting scours the full pipe wall, and the camera confirms the result while documenting pipe condition.
Isolation Valve Exercising
A valve that’s never operated seizes. We cycle every repipe-installed shutoff, riser, and main valve annually — so one leak never requires a whole-building shutdown.
Certified Backflow Preventer Testing
Required by code. We test, document, and keep your association in compliance.
Pressure-Reducing Valve Inspection & Pressure Logging
Excess pressure is the leading cause of premature failure in new piping and can affect warranty coverage. We verify and record system pressure at every visit.
Roof Vent Inspection & Clearing.
Blocked vents cause the slow drains, gurgling, and sewer odors that generate most resident complaints.
The Process:
Year One: We Establish Your Baseline
We begin with a full camera survey of every vertical drain stack — a documented baseline of your building’s condition immediately following the repipe.
Next: Rotating Inspection Cycles
Every Two Years: Bathroom Stack Hydro-Jetting With Camera Verification
Soap and scale build more slowly than kitchen grease; a two-year cycle keeps these lines clear at a lower cost to the association.
Every One to Two Years: Building Main Drain Jetting
Every stack discharges into the building main. Keeping it clear protects ground-floor units and common areas from backups.
What Your Board Receives
After every service visit, your board receives a written condition report with camera footage, the updated valve exercise log, and recorded pressure readings. This file supports your reserve study, demonstrates diligence to your insurance carrier, and gives future boards a complete maintenance history of the building’s new plumbing system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our building was just repiped. Why do the drains need maintenance?
Most repipes address the supply piping. Your drain stacks still carry grease, lint, and soap from every unit in the building — and they need routine cleaning regardless of the age of your supply lines.
Do residents need to leave their units?
No. Most of the program is performed from common areas. Where unit access is needed (valve exercising), visits take minutes and are scheduled floor by floor with your site manager.
How is pricing determined?
Every building is different. We prepare a custom proposal based on your building’s stack count, unit count, and equipment.
